Ranger, from Roxton Pond, Quebec, captured the pole for Sundays NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 race with a fast lap of 83.261 seconds (106.321 mph) in the No. 27 Mopar/Exide Dodge. The lap set the series track record -previously held by J.R. Fitzpatrick at 83.286 (106.289) - and also extended Rangers mark for the most poles at CTMP to five. To top things off, it was Rangers 15th career pole overall, which broke a tie for the series all-time record he previously shared with Fitzpatrick. Hes now earned the pole in five of his eight career Canadian Tire Series starts at the 2.459-mile road course.
