Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew knows that his side have to address their home form if they are to arrest their alarming side down the Premier League table. The 2-1 win at Stoke on December 19 took them up to sixth but they are winless in 12 league matches since, leaving them in 15th place, eight points clear of Norwich City in 18th.But despite their recent travails, Pardew believes his side can give surprise league leaders Leicester a fright this weekend. Leicesters Jamie Vardy scores the only goal in the reverse fixture in October The results at home havent been what Ive wanted since I got here, says Pardew. Our philosophy is to go toe-to-toe.I want us to be more consistent and be an established Premier League team. For half of last term and half of this one we were, but we must improve.Ive got some great players here, I love managing them and I love it here. Im looking forward to these next nine games. Our history is littered with upsets against the odds, thats what this club is about. The stars have aligned and the planets have aligned for Leicester this season. Theyve had hardly any injuries, made hardly any mistakes in their campaign. Now the run is clear for them, they are the clear favourites, even Sir Alex Ferguson said theyre going to win it. For us, its envy a little bit for what theyve done and also admiration. Yohan Cabaye scores the first goal in the 2-0 FA Cup win at Reading Pardew is taking heart from the 2-0 win at Reading in the sixth round of the FA Cup and is urging his team to translate their Cup form to the league. They have won just four league matches at Selhurst Park this season. He said: Were in decent form but not as much in the league and we have a chance to turn that around in this next spell and theres a real determination this week on my part, the coaches part and among the players to do that.I noticed in the end period of the Reading game that we saw the game out comfortably. Weve not done that in the league and thats telling me there is a slight psychological issue with the team. Its understandable when everyone is reminding us of our position in the league and we have to get over that. We have to see a game out. Also See:Palace videoPalace fixturesPalace statsGet a free £10 betAdidas Stan Smith Nederland . -- Jimmie Johnson held off a teammate, passed a pair of Hall of Famers, and dominated once more at Dover. With one of Sadlers best friends being her doctor, she got permission to come with doctor in tow to see her son battle Justin Allgaier, Daniel Suarez and Erik Jones for the championship. She has been [out of] the hospital for a couple weeks, Sadler said. Shes gotten her energy back up, her strength back up.?She was fired up this week. She wanted me to stay focused and make sure I had my head on straight when I came to Miami. She came by to visit me [Wednesday] night to send me off on my way before I came down. Shes back to her old ways.?She wants her son to be focused. This isnt the first time Sadlers mom has battled health issues. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.Her mental toughness through breast cancer, being a survivor, going through what weve been through the last couple weeks, its pretty inspirational for me, Sadler said. I need to have that same type of mental toughness in the race car. Im definitely drawing strength from her.Sadlers mom also plaayed a pivotal role in helping him through the complications after the birth of his son, Wyatt, in 2010.dddddddddddd Wyatt spent 10 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit after two surgeries in his first two weeks of his life for issues with his appendix and intestines. The worst thing in the world is being a dad, not knowing if your son is going to live or not, Sadler said. To watch him go through everything he did -- incubated, shots, IVs -- it was a tough time.I definitely leaned on my mom a lot during that time, just because she had been a parent; she understands what its like to see your kids go through tough times. I leaned on her a lot. That experience continues to fuel Sadler. To watch [Wyatt] fight for his life, not knowing if he was going to make it, just changed my whole perception, Sadler said. It just built a fire in me not to be a failure. I want him to look up to me. I really looked at it, if I can see my son fight for his life the way he did, I sure as hell can fight to be a driver, a race car driver, to be a champion. His power to want to live and to still be here with us has given me a lot of drive as a person and as a driver. Thats why I think I still eat, sleep, drink racing so much. Ive kind of fed off him. ' ' '
