England captain Dylan Hartley is fit and well after coming through his first few minutes of rugby in almost two months.Hartley was knocked unconscious during Englands Six Nations Grand Slam-winning clash with France and, according to Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder, he has been champing at the bit to get going. The hooker came on for Mickey Haywood as his side secured European Champions Cup qualification for next season with a 28-20 Aviva Premiership victory at Gloucesters Kingsholm, scoring three tries through centre George Pisi and two from Wales wing George North. Fly-half Stephen Myler booted 13 points with three penalties and two conversions while all of Gloucesters points came in the first half as replacement full-back Lloyd Evans and flanker Ross Moriarty grabbed tries and Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw, playing in an unaccustomed fly-half role rather than his regular scrum-half position, booted two penalties and two conversions. With Northampton out of the end-of-season Premiership play-offs, Hartleys only chance for a decent run-out before the England tour to Australia will be in the Test match with Wales at the end of this month, which is live on Sky Sports. He has not rushed it and he probably needs a bit more game time to get back up to speed but we are delighted to see him back. Jim Mallinder on Dylan Hartley While Mallinder thought Hartley would rather rest in the summer, joking about sitting in a deckchair, he said: Dylan has been frustrated that he has not been able to play.He has been injured and taken his time. He has not rushed it and he probably needs a bit more game time to get back up to speed but we are delighted to see him back.Mallinder was left frustrated by Northamptons inability to get into the play-offs.He said: It is a satisfying win but we are not getting carried away because we want to finish in the top four.It is the first time in a few years that we have not done that but we have to regroup. You reset your targets and that was to beat Bath and to beat Gloucester and to qualify in fifth position and so we are pleased that we have managed that. The season, with the Premiership starting late due to the Rugby World Cup, was a disruption. It did not help us but if you want to get into the top four, you have got to go away to Worcester, London Irish and Newcastle and you cant be losing by a point or two which is what we did.The first half here was one of our most uncontrolled performances that we have done away from home in the Premiership. I am glad we recovered. George North scored two tries against Gloucester It was a tough way for Gloucester to end their own season, slumping to eighth in the table without qualifying for either the play-offs or the top tier of European Cup rugby.Director of rugby David Humphreys said: For the first 35 minutes, we were playing really well with ambition and accuracy. To build up a 20-point lead, that is time for us to kick on and win the game.Credit to Northampton, they came back but two of their tries came off our lineouts which is disappointing. It is not the reason we lost the game but it is very disappointing to finish the season like that. Also See:Saints seal Champions Cup spotElla to help EnglandEngland not finished productRugby Union on SkyNBA Jerseys China . -- Claudio Bieler hadnt scored since early September, and not from the run of play since mid-July. Tinsley, a 10-year veteran, spent the last two seasons in Utah, where the point guard averaged 3.Kimi Raikkonen says a power unit issue in Q3 meant he had to settle for sixth on the grid as Ferrari faltered again in qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix.Ferrari had looked strong in FP3 on Saturday morning, before Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel went second and fourth respectively in Q1. The team dropped off the pace after that as both drivers failed to unlock the full pace advantage on the super-soft tyres in Q2 and Q3, with Vettel saying the team should have had a car on the front row.Raikkonen feels his grid position is not a fair reflection of pace, with the engine issue in Q3 forcing him to abort his final run.?I felt my car was definitively better [than sixth] today, our qualifying lap times were better today, he said. Q1 was pretty OK, straightaway, we struggled a bit in Q2 to get the tyres to where we wanted them. The soft tyre worked pretty OK but I lost a bit in the last corners. Then, in Q1, the first lap was pretty decent, but I felt I lost time in a few places. Then I had an odd feeling in the last run, we had some issue with power in the last set of tyres and could never use them. I feel there was a lot of lap time thhat we never got, because we didnt use the second set of tyres.dddddddddddd It was a bit of a struggle because I took it a bit easy in the first run of Q3, so I think the position we are in doesnt show the lap time we could achieve. It was just unfortunate that it went like that.Raikkonen says he takes little comfort in out-qualifying teammate Vettel, who had to settle for seventh, due to the fact they will both start lower than expected. Not really important for me. When we are 6th and 7th... If we would be fighting at the front ... Right now I dont feel it gives anything, we struggled with the issue. I thought the car was pretty decent but with the small problem we had I couldnt run and it cost us quite a few places. But this is how it is today and we have to go forward. Tomorrow I think we can be much stronger.A small comfort for Ferrari will be the fact both drivers made it through Q2 on the soft tyre, meaning they will start on a more durable compound to the Red Bull drivers and Nico Hulkenberg ahead.
