The SEC set another benchmark on opening weekend of the 2016 NFL season, placing an all-time high 362 former players on NFL rosters to open the 2016 season. The previous SEC, and national, record was 355, which was set in 2015.LSU led the league with 46 former players on NFL rosters, followed by Alabama (42), Florida (38) and Georgia (37).
