The hearing of the matter regarding the BCCI not implementing the Lodha Committees recommendations in total, as directed by the Supreme Court, has been rescheduled from December 5 to December 9. It was reported that the Chief Justice of India, TS Thakur, who is part of the bench hearing the issue, was unavailable. The Supreme Court had last heard the case on October 21, when it passed an interim order asking the BCCI to stop disbursing funds to state associations until the association gave a written resolution that it would adopt the Lodha Committees recommendations. BCCI president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke were also required to submit an affidavit of compliance in the court by December 3, elaborating on the recommendations already implemented by the board and the steps taken to persuade the state associations to adopt the recommendations in total.Since the previous hearing, the Lodha Committee submitted its third status report in the Supreme Court and once again recommended that the BCCI and state office bearers who did not meet the eligibility criteria laid out in the recommendations be removed immediately. It also recommended that GK Pillai, the former home secretary in the federal government, be appointed an observer of the BCCI and that he oversee the boards financial transactions. The BCCI, however, remained firm in its stance that it could not force the Lodha Committees recommendations on its state associations, and that a majority vote was needed to pass them. At several board meetings, the states had voiced opposition to most of the Lodha Committees recommendations: in particular, the one-state-one-vote policy, the age cap for office bearers, and the limits on tenure. The Lodha Committee - comprising former Chief Justice of India RM Lodha and retired Supreme Court judges Ashok Bhan and R Raveendran - was formed in January 2015 to determine appropriate punishments for some of the officials involved in the 2013 IPL corruption scandal, and also to propose changes to streamline the BCCI, reform its functioning, prevent sporting fraud and conflict of interest. In January 2016, the committee released its report, which recommended an exhaustive overhaul of the BCCIs governance and administrative structures. On July 18, the Supreme Court approved the majority of the recommendations and directed the Lodha Committee to supervise the BCCIs implementations of the same. However, despite the Lodha Committee laying out timelines and other directives, the board has not cooperated because its state associations objected to the recommendations. Wholesale Twins Jerseys . Sydney chairman Andrew Pridham says theres a possibility the club could yet play a home AFL final at the SCG for the first time in 11 years. But Swans fans shouldnt get their hopes too high.Sydney, who lead the ladder going into this weekends final round, are contracted to play any finals home games this year at ANZ Stadium. The AFL decides the venue for each finals contest. Its understood ANZ Stadium management would want some compensation for members and corporate partners if a game was switched to the SCG.Earlier this year a deal was done to give their members access to three Swans matches at the SCG for each of the next three seasons after ANZ Stadium agreed to shift three 2016 Sydney home games from their venue.Pridham said Swans fans had shown a strong preference for the SCG, but the matter was in the hands of the AFL and ANZ Stadium.Asked about the chances of a Swans SCG home final this year Pridham said: Theres always a chance, but I dont think people should have high expectations. But its possible. He said the AFL was aware of the feelings of Swans supporters. But from a football perspective weve played 10 finals at ANZ Stadium and won eight of them and so either venue we have no fear of playing at, Pridham said.ddddddddddddwans co-captain Kieren Jack was similarly unconcerned about which venue would stage home finals from a competitive viewpoint. The Swans have the same finals winning percentage at both grounds, having triumphed in four out of five at the SCG.However, the iconic ground hasnt staged a finals contest since Sydneys epic 2005 semi-final against Geelong. If we earn the right to have a home final in Sydney it doesnt really bother us where we play, Jack said. The classy midfielder was confident he would be fit to face Richmond at the SCG on Saturday after missing last weekends match against North Melbourne with an ankle injury. The Tigers are just one of five teams to beat Sydney this season and have won their last three against the Swans.Richmond is a bit of a bogey side for us in recent times, Jack said.
