The event was resurrected last year by Yonkers Raceway President and CEO Tim Rooney. It will be race six on a 13-race card Saturday at Yonkers. First race post time is 1:10 p.m. EDT, with the International Trot expected to go at 3:20 p.m.Resolve and Hannelore Hanover are among three U.S. representatives in the International Trot, along with Obrigado, who drew post six and was made 6-1 on the morning line.Im satisfied with the draw, said Swedish-born Ake Svanstedt, who is now based in the U.S. and trains and drives Resolve for owner Hans Enggren of Pennsylvania. I know a lot of the horses and have seen them race. Ive raced against a couple of them too. The drivers are good drivers. They drive differently. Its going to be a European [style] race, not American.Resolve, a 5-year-old stallion, has won four of 10 races this year and earned $695,513. He heads to the International Trot off a win in the Maple Leaf Trot on Sept. 17 at Mohawk Racetrack. Earlier this season, he finished second to Nuncio in the Elitlopp at Swedens Solvalla Raceway. He is doing good, Svanstedt said. He is doing good the whole year. Its been almost four weeks since he raced the last time, but he trained good. He looks good. Hes excited to race when he has a long time between the races. He wants to race. Hes sharp.Returning from last years International Trot are Norways BBS Sugarlight, Italys Oasis Bi, and Swedens On Track Piraten. She finished second to Resolve in the Maple Leaf Trot.I was open-minded about [posts] one through five, and maybe nine or 10, but drawing the rail in this race is definitely a big edge for her, Hannelore Hanovers driver Yannick Gingras said, adding with a laugh, I told Ake that he better buckle up his chinstrap.Shes really sharp. Shes been racing really good. Shes had a three-week break now, which I think is a great thing for her. Shed been racing really hard, shipping all over North America. I think the three weeks will help her and Im sure Ronnie will have her trained up. I know shes ready to rock. This will be Hannelore Hanovers first race on a half-mile track.I dont think its an issue, Gingras said. Shes a really square-gaited mare. I dont think its any problem at all in my mind. Cheap Custom Rams Jersey .ca! Hi Kerry, Its another day and here we are looking at another dubious hit to the head. Pilates and the mentorship of Kurt Tippett have helped Sydney ruckman Sam Naismith achieve a rapid rise this AFL season.Injury and illness stalled his progress after he joined the Swans via the 2013 rookie draft. But the 24-year-old has played the past seven games for the ladder leaders and is shaping as a key to their premiership push. Its not great to come in as a new player and have about three years of injuries set you back. Thats pretty frustrating, Naismith said on Thursday. But Ive learned a lot in that time and the big thing that came out of that was resilience and trying to get my body right to withstand AFL footy.Ive done a lot of stuff with the strength and conditioning guys, off-site training with pilates.Naismith signed a three-year deal with the Swans last year.It was a reasonable show of faith given hed played one game of AFL at that point and struggled to get on the park in 2015 because of glandular fever and a groin injury.Last week was another indication of how the club rates Naismith, who was retained in the Swans 22 ahead of Toby Nankervis following Tippetts returrn to fitness.ddddddddddddNaismith relished the chance to play alongside Tippett.Kurt has been a great help, he said.Even when I havent been playing seniors hes a good voice and his preparation is just something to be admired. Its been great working with him on the field. Its only been one game but hopefully there will be a few more. The Swans face Richmond at the SCG on Saturday, when they hope to secure the minor premiership.Theyre naturally wary given the Tigers have won their past three clashes with Sydney, including Naismiths AFL debut in 2014.Weve come up short against them in the last couple of years ... (winning) is going to be crucial for our spot on the ladder, he said.Naismith, who hails from the NSW country town of Gunnedah, denied he had secured his spot for September. Its a very competitive environment and everyone is pushing for a spot, he said.Weve still got Callum Sinclair to come back. Hopefully Ill stay in but Ill take that as it comes. ' ' '
