RIO DE JANEIRO -- Despite a delay of several days, the head of the Australian delegation said she expects her 700 athletes and officials to move into housing at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics on Wednesday.Australia refused to check in at the Athletes Village when it officially opened on Sunday, complaining about water leaks, gas leaks, electrical faults and filth that delegation head Kitty Chiller said endangered athletes. Its looking like, according to our plan, that we will be able to move everybody in on Wednesday, Chiller said, speaking Monday at Rios Olympic Park.Sidney Levy, the CEO of the Rio organizing committee, told The Associated Press that half of the 31 apartment buildings in the village complex were ready on Monday. The rest will be delivered in the next few days, Levy said, adding that each building might have a few apartments with problems that might take a bit extra to solve.Rio spokesman Mario Andrada said 630 people are working around the clock so the villages 3,600 apartments can be ready on Thursday, barely a week before the Olympics open on Aug. 5.Rio officials said 1,600 people from 115 countries were living in the village on Monday -- including 400 athletes. The village will accommodate about 18,000 athletes and officials at its peak. Many teams are already in Brazil but are attending private training camps and may not need to move into the village for another few days.Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes, after harshly criticizing Chiller on Sunday, has acknowledged that Australia had the worst prepared building in the vast complex that contains seven swimming pools, tennis courts and a dining area to serve 60,000 meals daily. The mayor and I have a date on Wednesday, and I believe there will be a ceremonial handing over of the keys, Chiller said. Ive arranged a little present for the mayor, also. I look forward to meeting him after two years of banter in the media.Paes sarcastically said he was tempted to put a kangaroo jumping outside the Australians building to make them happy.Chiller stressed her comments had not been an attack on Brazil. The complaints were not against Brazil, not against Rio, not against the people of Rio, she said. It wasnt a slur. She praised the village on a visit a few months ago, and said so on social media. But that was a dry run.We didnt turn on any taps, we didnt flush any toilets then, and we didnt turn the showers on, she said. She said Australia was picking up some extra bills for cleaning services and hotels, but suggested local organizers could get a tab.Anyone that we have contracted at this point in time, or any altered arrangements as in extra accommodations at hotels, we are paying for that at the moment, she said. Some of the cleaners we will be paying for, yes. Well work out who pays the bill later on.Chiller listed seven other delegations -- Britain, New Zealand, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Japan and the Netherlands -- that arrived early and worked with Australia on varied problems. The president of the Argentine Olympic Committee, Gerardo Werthein, on Monday called two of the five floors for his delegation uninhabitable.Chiller said speaking out probably put pressure on the organizing committee. Then she changed her word choice.I wouldnt like to use the word pressure, she added. The resources were made available.---Stephen Wade on Twitter: http://twitter.com/StephenWadeAP . Who you need to target:QBsSam Bradford vs. NYG (owned 9.5%)I LOVE Bradford this week, at home, on MNF, against a Giants secondary that will be without Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Eli Apple, and Darian Thompson. If you own Aaron Rodgers, who has a bye this week, or Russell Wilson, who is dealing with a knee injury...you might want to consider Sammy.(Others to target = Joe Flacco vs. Oakland, Alex Smith @ Pittsburg)RBsJordan Howard vs. Detroit (owned 15.9%)Jeremy Langford is out 4 to 6 weeks with an ankle injury, and Howard is the next man up. He has the potential to be a three down back for the Bears, and is very good in the passing game as well. The Bears have favorable match ups the next two weeks against the Lions and the CColts.dddddddddddd Howard should be your # 1 overall request for waiver-wire Tuesday.(Others to target = Jerick McKinnon vs. NYG, Cameron Artis-Payne @ Atlanta, Dwayne Washington @ Chicago, Orleans Darkwa @ MinnesotaWRsJamison Crowder vs. Cleveland (owned 11.2%) Crowder brought in 4 of his 7 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown against the Giants. Crowder has become the number two option for Kirk Cousins with 185 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season. Hes being targeted in the red zone as well, which you love for any fantasy receiver you own.(Others to target = Terrelle Pryor @ Washington, Cole Beasley @ San Francisco,Quincy Enunwa vs. Seattle, Tyrell Williams vs. New Orleans)TEsKyle Rudolph vs. NYG (owned 40.7%)Two touchdowns in the last two games for Rudolph. Kyle put up 70 yards and a touchdown against a good Panthers defense in Week 3. Im feeling a nice chemistry develop between Bradford and Rudolph, and he has a favorable match up against an injured Giants secondary in week 4.(Others to target = Dennis Pitta vs. Oakland, Hunter Henry vs. New Orleans)Good luck!
